Susan Pierce

Susan Pierce passed away February 19, 2013 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was 54 years old.She was born November 14, 1958 in Longmont, Colorado to James and Cathirine Pierce. Susan grew up in the Longmont area and participated in 4-H and enjoyed living the farm life, especially riding her horses. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1977.She worked for a local bread and cheese company delivering to Denver, Colorado Springs, and Cheyenne Mountain.She was of the Catholic Faith and attended Guardian Angels Catholic Church when living in Colorado.Susan belonged to the Blue Star Mothers and was very involved devoting countless hours to help with fund-raising for veterans coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her father.Susan is survived by her husband Pete Perez of Albuquerque, NM; her son Patrick Otenberger of Milliken, CO; her step son MSGT M. Pete Perez of San Antonio, TX; her mother Cathirine Pierce of Mead, CO; her brothers Jim (Donna) Pierce and Doug (Cindy) Pierce both of Mead, CO; her sisters Maureen (Kevin) Stuvel of Longmont, CO and Mary McCrary of Ocean Springs, MS; her grandchildren Tashara Perez, John Patterson, Jr., Brianna and Zach Otenberger; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday February 25, 2013 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Mead, with viewing from 9:00-9:30 AM at the church. Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Guardian Angels Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
