Susan L. Watkins

Susan Watkins, 70, of Longmont passed away May 14, 2016, at Longmont United Hospital with her family at her side. She was born January 8, 1946, in Boulder, CO, to Homer and Helen Polly Haas. Susan attended Boulder High School and Front Range Community College. She married Sanford Croley in 1963, she later married Robert W. Watkins Jr. in 1969, and she has lived in the Longmont and Berthoud areas since 1981. Susan was a homemaker and office manager until her semi-retirement in 2002. In 2006 she started working for the Boulder Valley School District as a school bus driver and a bus aid for children with special needs until she retired in 2015. Susan was a member of Grace Place Church of Berthoud. She also enjoyed outdoor activities and was an avid reader.She was preceded in death by her father, her husband Robert, a son William (Bill), and two brothers Edward Haas and Thomas Haas. Susan is survived by her son Jerald Croley and wife Cheryl; a daughter Tanya Geiser and husband Mike; a step son Robert W. Watkins III; three grandchildren; Rachelle, Larissa, and Ashley; and four great grandchildren, two brothers; Daniel Haas and wife Connie and Charles Haas, and two sisters; Sylvia Porth and Sheila Howard. Memorial service will be 10 AM Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Grace Place Church in Berthoud. Inurnment will follow immediately at Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud.
