Tayler Rae Norquay

Tayler carried a beautiful blend of characteristics that she maintained with her throughout her entire life. Tayler captivated people with her wild sense of humor, spot-on accents, and willingness to put on a performance just to simply make someone laugh. She pulled anyone into her loving grasp with the tenderness of her generous, unconditionally loving heart. Her quirky nature shined through in all of her pursuits and desires in life.

She spent her childhood on the sandy beaches of Florida, around a campfire perfecting a golden marshmallow, and in front of a computer screen relentlessly conquering any game that dared cross her path, siblings', or friends'. Throughout the years, Tayler was very popular amongst numerous video game leagues. At no point in her early years would you find Tayler without her nose in a book. She had many niche interests and abilities and never turned down an opportunity to help her mom with repairs around the house, crocheting a scarf for a friend, or showing off a new recipe. Her eccentric nature was tied together by the laces of her black Converse.

Her adventures were not just conquered in a video game; Tayler took her daring heart all over the world, never saying no to a bold challenge. Sharing her love for the outdoors, her soul dog, Wicket, was never not by her side. Her devotion towards animals didn't stop with Wicket; you could often find her volunteering at the Longmont Humane Society. Wherever her journeys took her, Potty Bear was never too far away, worn soft by a lifetime of her love.

Tayler followed childhood passions by pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Purdue University. Even after surviving a tragic brain injury, Tayler's resilient nature, which surprised all her loved ones and medical staff, fueled her to pick up where she left off with her ambitions.

Her famous rosy, freckled cheeks that rested below her striking baby blue eyes, amongst a beauty, often regrettably unseen by herself, but undeniable to those around her, will be held in our hearts forever.

Her radiance will be seen by all those who loved her, accompanied by her sweet, soft laughter, ever after.

Our loving Tater is survived by her mother, Anita Bachmeier, her father, Joe Norquay, her brother, Jason McDermott, her sister, Natalie Norquay, her sister, Sierra Norquay, her Oma, Lena Bachmeier, and her many other loving family members.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 3-6pm at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel 326 Terry St. Longmont, CO 80501. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday August 26, 2026 at 10:30am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 323 Collyer St. Longmont CO 80501 with a reception to follow.
