Theresa Barela

Theresa Terri Barela passed away October 17, 2018 at her home. She was 68 years old.Terri was born on April 17, 1950 in Greeley, CO to Marcos and Ofelia (Jaramillo) Martinez. She attended Longmont High School.On January 31, 1982 she married Peter Robert Bob Barela.Terri worked for Consolink and Dovatron as an assembler for electronic manufacturing before starting her own business Move Out Specialists, where she specialized in residential and commercial cleaning.She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. In her free time Terri enjoyed playing softball, doing word search puzzles and scratching lotto tickets. She was an excellent cook, especially tamales, enchiladas, rice and potato salad. Terri loved spending time with her dogs.Terri was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Robert, Tony and Mark Martinez; and two sisters Sylvia Martinez and Donelia Macias.She is survived by her husband Bob Barela; her children Tommy (Loriann) Gomez, Stephanie (David) Hernandez and Kim Barela; her grandchildren Dominic (Zuhal) Gomez, Christopher Gomez and Patrick Gomez, Orlando Hernandez and Lorenzo Hernandez; her brothers Harold Jaramillo (Sophie), Henry Martinez (Jodie), Dave Martinez (Kim), and Tom Martinez (Virginia); and her dog Jasper.Visitation 4:00-6:00pm Wednesday October 24, 2018 with Rosary Prayers beginning at 6:00pm at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Thursday October 25, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Cremation to follow Mass.
