Thomas "Tom" Leo Brossart

Tom was born and raised in Wisconsin with his parents and 6 siblings; he was the oldest of the children. After traveling much of the United States as a coast-to-coast truck driver, he left Wisconsin and chose to move to Colorado to raise his family. He was a hardworking man, who was raised with a strong work ethic that he has gifted to his children, who have also gifted to their children. Driving over 4 million miles, he would joke that he’d driven in reverse more than most drivers had driven forward. His hardest, most challenging jobs became the jobs he loved the most.

Tom was a strong, genuine, fun-loving, compassionate man, who wanted nothing more than to be happy and to make others around him happy. He was always cracking jokes and one-liners, never missing an opportunity to make us all laugh. Tom also had a unique gift and appreciation for all living things, especially animals, he had rescued and raised so many there are too many to list.

Tom will be remembered by his strong vice grip hands, his quick wit, tough exterior, and his never-wavering love for his family.

Tom is survived by his wife Suzanne Brossart (Andree), daughter Maranda (Ryan) Penner, son Tommy Brossart and partner Cierra Pyell, stepdaughter Athena Andree, mother-in-law Carrie Andree, brothers James, John (Helen), Robert (Kim), Joseph (Kris), and Philip (Kim) Brossart, grandchildren Breanna (Matthew) Rowe, Allison (Daryl) James, Claudia (Jordan) Lamkin, Luke Penner, Jack Lawson, and great-grandchildren Cayden, Mason, Theodore, Logan, Rosalie, and Adelynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Marlys Brossart, sister Sally (Buddy) Woodward, and sister in-law Renée Brossart.

Tom will always be in our hearts, in our smiles and in our laughter.
