Our beloved Tim began his next journey Friday morning January 5, 2024 into the arms of our Lord, along with his “Ticket to Heaven Admission Card”. Tim was born July 30, 1990 in Longmont, Colorado to Russell and Mary (Ogle) Diefenbach.
In his youth Tim was an avid athlete with a specific passion for soccer and enjoyed spending his summers at the city parks and Sunset Pool. He attended Central Elementary, Westview Middle School and graduated from Longmont High School in 2009. As a Longmont Trojan, he continued his love for soccer playing on the varsity squad, as well as excelling on the wrestling mat, placing 4th in state his senior year. Throughout his youth Tim was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop 66 where he achieved numerous levels of leadership and in 2008 he achieved their highest rank of Eagle Scout, joining a very small select group consisting of Presidents, astronauts, Americas’ greatest leaders, and his brother Joe.
After his high school graduation and some time spent at Front Range Community College Tim decided to pursue other passions. He was a waiter for Pinocchio’s Restaurants for years where he was remembered by many as their happy, friendly, smiling server. During the Covid closures Tim began his next journey working with his friends in construction and home remodeling. Tim soon discovered this was his new passion, working with his hands and helping others. Tim opened his own general contractor business and was making plans to expand his business further into the trades.
Tim had a passion for life rivaled by none. He spent his leisure time playing golf with friends, enjoying the outdoors, fishing, and recently hunting. He is remembered by all for his sense of humor, his beautiful smile, kindness for all, and his eagerness to be there for others. Let us not dwell upon our loss, but let us be thankful for the time we did get to spend with Tim and know that Tim would want us to keep him in our hearts, keep smiling, and live life to the max as he did. To ensure his everlasting life, let us keep him in our hearts, thoughts, prayers, and endless stories.
He is preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents, Uncle James Ogle, and Cousin Trey.
Survived by his parents, his brother Joseph Diefenbach, numerous loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and more friends than there are stars in the sky (and a dog named Blue).
A visitation for Tim will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Howe Mortuary Chapel, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. A rosary will occur at 5:00 PM. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where Tim had received his sacraments, 323 Collyer Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. A reception will follow at 11:00 AM in Benedict Hall at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to a favorite charity with Tim in mind.
Cremation is entrusted to Howe Mortuary & Crematory of Longmont, Colorado.
