Timothy Charles Lyon

Timothy Charles Lyon, 52, passed away April 1, 2015 at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center.He was born September 12, 1962 in North Hollywood, CA to Edward Lyon, Sr. and Shirley Piedmont Lyon. Tim grew up in the Valley, graduated from Kennedy High in Granada Hills, CA.On December 6, 1997 he married Jennifer Shore in Castro Valley, CA. Together they lived in Palmdale, CA until moving to Longmont, CO in August 2008.Tim worked for the St. Vrain Valley School district for a couple of years and currently works as a programmer/web developer at Alpine Technology in Longmont since 2011. He was also a pastor, starting a church with Jennifer called Grace Point Community Church. He had a heart for outreach and helping those in need. He belonged to Summit Foursquare Church in Longmont and was a member of the Lions Club in California.Tim enjoyed music playing guitar, bass guitar and drums; playing golf with his son Matt, passion for working on his Dad's 68' 4 door crew cab, and hiking in the mountains.He was preceded in death by his father Edward.Timothy is survived by his wife Jennifer of Longmont; his daughter Courtney Lyon of Los Angeles, CA; his sons Matthew Lyon (girlfriend Carrie Morgan and grandson Liam Lyon) of Los Angeles, CA; Nathan Lyon and Jacob Lyon of Longmont; his mother Shirley Genzler (Glenn) of Hemet, CA; his brothers Eddie Lyon, JR of Hemet, CA and Christopher Lyon (Minette) of Castaic, CA; and his sister Deborah Belleret of Ph nix, AZ; as well as 8 nieces and nephews and their children.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday April 3, 2015 at the Summit Foursquare Church in Longmont. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the future education of their sons.
