Tomasita was born in Lafayette, Colorado on March 7, 1953 to Consuelo V. Barajas and Alfonso V. Villa. She was one of 12 children. The family moved from Erie, CO to Longmont in the 1960s and Tomasita graduated from Longmont High School. She earned her Medical and Dental Certifications from the University of Colorado Health & Science Center. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont.
Tomasita loved to cook. She fed everyone. She also loved baking, gardening and decorating. She was a faithful caregiver to her father, her mother, and her son, Alfonso. She was the core of her family and helped to keep the peace and the love. She was passionate about life and loved dancing and music. She adored her nieces and nephews and loved to spend time with them. She was more than just a sister to her brothers and sisters; she was a second mother to them and was always there for them. And she was always there for her son, her granddaughter, and her nieces and nephews. Tomasita was an angel. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Tomasita was preceded in death by her father, Alfonso V. Villa, and her mother, Consuelo V. Barajas, and her brothers, Alfonso E. Villa, Patrick R. Villa and Joseph Villa. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her family that loved her and is survived by her son, Alfonso S. Villa, granddaughter, Diamond A. Villa, brothers, Victor S. Villa, Ray P. Villa, Greg Villa, and Terry J. Villa, sisters, Lori Villa, Mary Thomas, Connie L. Villa, Aunt Frances Villa, and many nieces and nephews.
Tomasita did not want a funeral, but her family will celebrate her every day in their own way. She will always be remembered for the love and care she provided to her family. Her generous heart and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21
