Tyler McNeill Templeton of Longmont, Colorado, entered his heavenly home peacefully in May 2026 after a long illness. Born in November 1996, Tyler lived 29 years marked by curiosity, creativity, and a deep love for family and friends.
Tyler was the beloved son of Kathy and Tim Templeton of Longmont and the cherished brother of Ryan Templeton. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family members and many friends whose lives were brightened by his kindness, humor, and gentle spirit.
A former student of Silver Creek High School, Tyler possessed a naturally inquisitive mind and a remarkable talent for technology. He enjoyed building and learning, including assembling his own computer and patiently helping family members solve countless electronic problems. Tyler also had a gifted eye for photography and found joy in capturing the beauty of nature, especially the quiet details others often missed.
Tyler loved the game of golf, and one of his proudest moments came at age 13 when he scored a hole-in-one — a memory his family will always treasure. Whether he was on the golf course, behind the camera lens, or spending time with those he loved, Tyler brought warmth, sincerity, and quiet joy to every moment.
He will be remembered for his gentle heart, thoughtful conversations, and the way he made others feel truly seen and valued. Though his life was far too short, it was filled with love, laughter, and a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew him.
A celebration of Tyler’s life will be held Monday, May 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Community Lutheran Church, 9775 Ute Highway, Longmont, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund in Tyler’s name at Faith Community Lutheran Church in Longmont, or to the CeDAR Memorial Scholarship Fund (Attention: Astrid) in honor of Tyler Templeton.
