Valerie M. Millert

Born Valerie McConville Klein on August 20, 1957 in Denver, Colorado. Loving Wife to Dave Millert, Dedicated and Loving Mother to Natalie Millert and Steffanie Millert. Hobbies included spending time with family, travel, skiing, exercise, hiking, reading, and gardening. Valerie had a thirty-year career in education. She served as a Marketing and Business teacher at Bear Creek High, Wheat Ridge High and Evergreen High for 15 years. Many of her DECA students competed at the National DECA Conferences. She also served as a school administrator at Evergreen Junior High, Long Peak Middle School and Trail Ridge Middle School for 15 years. She was fortunate to be able to open Trail Ridge Middle School with a design team of teachers - this was a capstone of her career. She was a great advocate for students and loved helping them succeed.She graduated from Northglenn High School in 1975. Graduated from CSU with a Bachelor in Business and Teaching in 1979. Graduated from the University of Boulder with a Master's Degree in Marketing and Business in 1984. Graduated from DU Administration Program in 1989.Valerie was a friend and supporter of all who needed it. She is survived by her Mother, Fernand Klein. Also loving sister to: Audrey Klein and husband Steve deCsesznak and three children Jessica, Abbee, and Steven; Hilarie Watters and husband Mark Watters and their three children Moira, Clarise, and Paul; Brother Gerald Klein and wife Sue and niece Jean; Brother Arnold Klein and wife Bonnie and two children Corrina and Gerald; and Brother Eric Klein.A celebration of Valerie's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 14, 2011 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. A reception will follow the services at the church.
