Vaughn Brents

Vaughn was born in San Pedro, CA to Eddie and Lorraine Daugherty on February 20, 1933. She was baptized June 1, 1947 in Paradise Hills, San Diego. She graduated from Sweetwater High School of National City, CA in 1950. She married George Brents on March 21, 1953 in San Diego, CA.

Vaughn proudly worked as an Aircraft Inspector for Convair in CA as a young woman. After moving to Longmont, CO she later became a partner of a wallpapering business. This was a career that she enjoyed immensely. She enjoyed both the variety of jobs they worked as well as getting to know the people she met. She was a member of Job’s Daughters. She closely cherished the life long friendships she made with the ladies of the Jolly Neighbors extension club. This amazing group of friends have met monthly since 1966! She enjoyed giving back to the community and volunteered her time with the Girl Scouts, OUR Center, and Longmont United Hospital.

Vaughn is preceded in death by her husband George Brents, her son David Brents, her brother Donald Daugherty, and her sister Patricia Skidmore. Vaughn is survived by her children Cindy Brents, Matthew (Cathi) Brents, and her beautiful grandchildren Ariana and Addison Brents.
