Viola Miller died peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2012. Vi as she liked to be called was born on August 12, 1917 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Charles Butler and Margaret Bonell. Vi was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Miller. After John's death in October, 1979, Vi journeyed to Longmont, Colorado to be close to her daughter and granddaughter. Vi was an avid walker, reader, and a devoted Denver Broncos fan she loved her Denver Broncos. Vi was a resilient woman, who throughout her entire life remained true to herself, and to her independent lifestyle. Vi was determined that assisted living was never an option, so she remained in her own home until her death at 95-years young. According to Vi's wishes a private cremation has been held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, and she will be honored by her family with a private celebration of life ceremony. Memorial contributions can be made to The Friends of the Longmont Library. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
