Virgil Craig Harmon
October 19, 1958 – July 30, 2018
Virgil C. Harmon, 59, passed away peacefully July 30, 2018. Virgil was born on October 19, 1958 in Michigan, North Dakota. He lived and worked in Casselton, ND and the surrounding areas. After earning an Associate’s in Machining from the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND Virgil relocated to Colorado. He worked at Avedon Engineering as a machinist, but eventually left to purse his lifelong passion of farming and raising cattle. Virgil is survived by his devoted wife Conchita Harmon; his mother-in-law Carol Pletcher; two daughters: Wendy Harmon and Katie (Sean Gourley) Richardson; one son: Travis (Christina) Harmon; two precious grand-daughters: Ellamae and Adelina Harmon; two sisters: Teresa (Robert) Roessel, Gayle Sundeen; two brothers: Ronald (Marge) Harmon, Neil Harmon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Virgil will be greatly missed by many dear friends and family. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Howe Mortuary in Longmont, CO. Visitation will be Monday, August 6, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception immediately following at Howe Mortuary. A private burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Erie, CO. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Casselton, ND. In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to the family to support the Boulder County Livestock Sale. Every year Virgil would add on to 4-H projects and the family would like to continue the tradition in his memory.

I am Uncle Shorty's (Leroy) son. Gayle let me know of Virgil's passing. I would pay with Virgil when we visited long, long ago. My thoughts are with each of you at this time. May peace and love surround you at this time. Love and hugs from us
