Virginia was born September 11th, 1938 to Bert Averill and Gladys Deeder. Born in Scottsbluff Nebraska, Virginia was raised on a farm as a young girl before moving to Grand Junction in 1955.
While attending Central High School, Virginia met her future husband Marvin Edgar Brown. Virginia graduated May 27th and celebrated by marrying Marvin the 28th. They moved their family to the Denver area in 1974.
Although dedicated to her work at Coors Porcelain and later at Ohmeda Medical Group, Virginia’s commitment to her family was unwavering. Her oldest son Marvin Dale Brown (Teresa,) daughter Lorie Ann Blanchette (Kevin,) and youngest son Keith Brown (Heather) could not have asked for a better mom, friend, and an overall kind, gentle human being. Her greatest asset was her caring attitude towards all people including her Grandchildren, Kara, Nicole, Hannah, and Adam as well as her seven Great Grandchildren. Her love and kindness will live on through us all.
Virginia loved to bowl in her younger years and was part of several competitive leagues. She also enjoyed traveling and adding to her key chain collection. An avid storyteller, Virginia could always make everyone laugh with her ability to remember details regarding past and current family members. This wonderful skill will be missed by all who knew her.
Her services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday August 15th, 2020 at Howe Mortuary. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and held so dear.”
