

Wayne G. Johnson, 77, passed away on September 20, 2016 in Loveland, CO. Wayne was the husband of Jody Johnson. They shared 49 years of marriage together.
Born in Preston, Idaho, he was the son of George and Eldora Johnson. After graduating high school in June of 1957, Wayne enlisted in the Navy, and served his country until July of 1961.
After his service, Wayne spent the next 45 years in the van line industry. He worked for Mayflower Van Lines, Greyhound Van Lines, and then made his way to Atlas Van Lines until his retirement from there in 2004. During his career with Atlas, he received the ""Driver of the Year"" award twice. Atlas is also what brought Wayne and his family to Colorado in 1977.
In 1995, Wayne co-founded J&B Mini Storage in Loveland, CO, which continues to be a thriving business operated by his daughter. In 2005, he also started a trucking company, Timberline Transportation, LLC, which his son has proudly carried on.
Wayne Johnson was a fun loving, hard working man, that was LARGER THAN LIFE.
He brought a smile to everyone he met. Even after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, he still maintained that grin and incredible spirit. Wayne will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him.
Wayne is survived by his wife Jody, Son Dallas Johnson and wife Tammy, Daughter Cindy Johnson and husband Scott Balman, Grandchildren Kari Johnson, Cordell Johnson, Great Grandchildren, Connor and Jaxson Hontz
Viewing will be on October 1, 2016, from 11-2pm at Howe Mortuary in Longmont, CO.
A gathering for family and friends will be held at the American Legion in Longmont, CO,
on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 3:00 - 6:00pm
