William Bill Grooms a customer service representative at Berkshire died unexpectedly on Thursday February 19, 2015 in Longmont. Bill is survived by his father, Duane Grooms, stepmother Janet, sisters; Lauri Busch, Christine Grooms, Julie Bailey, stepbrother Mike Tucey; and preceded in death by mother, Judith Grooms.He was the best uncle ever to many nieces and nephews. Bill was a great friend to many and while he didn't have any children of his own, he was a great big brother to his friends' children and would often watch after them.Bill was working in Gunbarrel and living in Longmont with friends. Bill loved to experiment in the kitchen from making his own noodles for pasta dishes to his famous bacon wrapped meatloaf. He loved baking cookies and creating his latest versions of the scone. Bill enjoyed hiking the trails of Colorado and would often travel with his close friends or travel on bike. You could find him in his living space jamming out to music and strategically working on his empire of teams on the Playstation with his close buddies. Bill was one of the greatest friends around and will be missed by many. His life continues to this day in the stories to be shared and the recipes to be copied and the memories held close of one funny and smart witted guy. A celebration of life for Bill will be held on Saturday March 7th at Front Range Community College Conference Room #1480 from 2 pm- 3:30 pm.
