Willie Gutierrez

Willie Gutierrez, 83, of Longmont passed away on Saturday, August 3 at Life Care Center of Longmont of stroke complications while surrounded by family. He was born in Trujillo, NM to the late Feliz Gutierrez and Antonia Crespin Gutierrez. During his life, Willie worked in Craig as a ranch foreman and bronco buster, the National Western Sugar Company in Windsor, and finished out a long career at Western Foundries in Longmont. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ranching.

He was united in marriage on June 3, 1967 to Betty Larue Stromberger in Windsor, CO.

Willie is survived by his wife : Betty Gutierrez of Longmont ; son : Scott Gutierrez and his wife Feliz of Longmont ; daughter : Tammy Bohling and husband Joe of Frisco, TX ; grandchildren : Glenn, Grayce, and Chacon Gutierrez of Longmont, and Ava and Ella Bohling of Frisco, TX ; and brothers : Alfred and Albert Gutierrez of Trujillo, NM. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters : Felix, Eddie, Eloy, Adolph, Stella, Lucinda, Margarito, Tony, and Ignacio.

Services will take place on Tuesday, August 6 at 11:00AM at New Creation Ministries at 737 Bross Street. A reception will take place immediately after at the church.
