Wilma Jeane Couper

Wilma Couper, formerly of Longmont, passed away on October 6, 2021, in Peoria, Arizona. She was born to Walter and June Betts in Johnstown, PA, on April 13, 1929. She graduated from Johnstown High School and went to the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, where she received her nursing degree. Wilma married William Couper on July 21, 1951. Together they lived in 5 states before coming to Colorado in 1975. They later divorced.
Wilma was employed at Eventide (Applewood), and then she worked at Longmont United Hospital until her retirement in 1996. She remained active with volunteer services and was a longtime member and Deacon of Central Presbyterian Church in Longmont.
Wilma is survived by sons Daniel (Cathlyn) of Eagan, Mn, David (Lisa) of Erie, CO, Paul (Pamela) of Bloomington, IN, and a daughter Linda of Peoria, AZ, 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Wilma was preceded in death by her son Mark. A Memorial service will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont on October 16th, 2021, at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Presbyterian Church.
