He was a retired Vice President of Ale Bornstein Construction Co. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a longtime member of Kosair and Scottish Rite Temple, and a member of Southeast Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jo Anne Childers; children: Sandra Marie White, Teresa Ann Bray, Michael Scott Childers, and Stephan Scott Childers; 12 grandchildren, one great grandson; brothers: Arthur, Robert, and Edward Childers; and sisters: Pauline Smith, Mary Hibbs, Caroline Felker, and Jean Carby.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday at Noon at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be 2-8 PM on Monday.
