

Angie loved music; loved to dance, sing, and be silly. She enjoyed teaching, cooking, shopping, decorating and design– curating beautiful spaces. She loved to go on walks and runs while enjoying nature. She did track and field in high school and was top in the state of her division. Above all she truly cherished her relationship with God.

Survived by her parents Mary Ann and Lonnie Cole, and Irvin Walter and Tammy Cox; her children Joshua Sims and Alyssa Carter (Brian); her grandchildren Brayden, Aniston, and Bryson; siblings: Donna Ott (Adam), Ricky McCoy (Tim), Pamela McCoy, Melissa Cox, Carrie Kirby, and James Cox (Janie); As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Throughout her life, Angie carried herself with grace and resilience. She had a warm spirit and a caring heart, always willing to listen, offer encouragement, or lend a helping hand. Her laughter and gentle wisdom will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the many lives she touched.
Angie’s life was defined by love—love for her family, especially her grandchildren, her siblings, cousins and the moments both big and small that made life meaningful. She leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort and strength to those who mourn her passing.
A celebration of Angie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, 10:30am-2:30pm at Advantage Funeral Home-Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. Her funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm.
In honoring her memory, family and friends are encouraged to reflect on the kindness she shared and to carry that same compassion forward.
