

Angela Marie Meers (White), age 62 of Louisville, went to be with Jesus on January 3, 2020 with her husband by her side, after a long battle with cancer. Angie, as she was known to her family and friends, was born on September 13, 1957, graduated from Jesse Stuart High School in 1976 and shortly thereafter, married the love of her life, Richard “Rick” Meers Sr. on August 21, 1976. Angie is survived by her husband, Richard Meers Sr; her children, Patricia “Amber” Palmer (Brandon Rice) and Richard “Ricky” Meers Jr.; her sister, Pamela “Susie” Powers (Charles); her grandchildren, Layla Meers, Cole Meers and Joshua Palmer; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was met in heaven by her mother, Anna B. (Fields) White; her father, Joseph C. White; a sister, Patricia A. White; and brothers, Joseph “Butch” White and Jerry White; and her mother in law, Wanda (Cravens) Meers.
Angie was a Licensed Cosmetologist who began her career at Fantastic Sam’s then at Cut Ups then at Shear Tan, in which she owned and worked until her illness would no longer allow her. She enjoyed vacationing on the beach with her family and friends almost as much as she loved her family and the Lord.
The funeral is 1p.m. on Tuesday at Advantage Funeral Home Hardy Chapel at 10907 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8p.m. on Monday.
