Anita Mae (Hester) Allen, 85 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday March 15th 2016 at her home with her beloved daughter, Amber close by and attending to her needs and requests. Anita was one of 12 children born to her loving parents, Papa and Mom Hester. She devoted her life to her faith in Jesus Christ, her husband, Carlos Dewey Allen whose death preceded her by fleeting months and to her four children: Jewel, Bradley, Amber, and Paul. Anita is survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 great-grandchildren: Casey Thomas Jackson and David Scott Allen. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She spread her positive attitude and bright outlook to all during good times and bad. Her strong Christian belief defined her. She walked the talk every day. Funeral services for Anita will be held Friday, March 18th at 1:00pm at Blue Lick United Baptist Church, 4271 E. Blue Lick Rd., Louisville, KY 40229. Interment will follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends will be received for visitation Thursday, March 17th from 3-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son, 8519 Preston Hwy. and at the church Friday from 10am until time of the service.
