Tony was the last person to graduate Flaget High School before it closed in 1974. He started his career with Kroger when he was seventeen years old. He was the produce manager at the Prospect Kroger for 30 plus years before he retired. Tony has always loved photography, and after retirement started his own studio, and named it after his wife, her initials “DAW Studio”.
His parents, Leroy and Margaret Welscher Jr., brother, Michael Welscher, Sr.
and nephew, Tyler Edenhofer precede Tony in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of thirty-six years Debbie Welscher; son, Lane Barclay; brother, Butch Welscher(Patricia); nieces and nephews, Mickey(Jennifer), Melissa(Bill), Mike Jr.(Tammy), Keith, Leslie(Neil), Stefanie, Nicole(Devin), Drew, Eric, Bryan, Maggie, Mallory, RJ, Peyton, Layla, Jaxson, Elijah, Brandon, Alex, and Will.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Tony will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 7pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy., Louisville, Kentucky 40219 with visitation the same day from 1pm until the funeral service at 7pm. Interment will be Wednesday at 11am at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
