March 14, 1948 – January 5, 2021

Betty Lou Gassaway, 72, entered into rest on Tuesday January 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Philip Gassaway; Grandson, Alexander Gassaway; Brother, Davey Phillips, Sister, Estil Wright; Betty is survived by her Son, Gregg Gassaway and his wife, Genia; her Daughter, Buffie Daubard and her husband Shad; Sister, Colleen Woodcock (CL); Brother, Mike Phillips (Debbie); 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren; A graveside service will be held on Monday at 1pm EDT at New Liberty Cemetery in Edmonton, Ky. Visitation is Sunday from 3-8pm at Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel.

I worked with Ms. Betty back in 2006 & 2007 at A&W. I remember my short time with Ms. Betty very fondly. She was a wonderful and nice person. We had some great chats in the dining room during her breaks. She was my first manager at my first job in high school. She felt more like a friend than a boss. I will always remember the great times I had at A&W and most of those were due to Ms. Betty.
