It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Blaine Anthony “Tony” Adkins, of Louisville, Kentucky. Blaine was born May 17, 1964 in Watervliet, Michigan, and raised in Virgie, Kentucky. He passed away on June 25th, 2026. During his 62 years, he shared with others his sense of humor, and passion for spending time with friends and family.
From 1986-1989, Blaine served in the US Army as a Infantryman stationed in Hawaii. Though his time serving was short due to injury, it was a valuable time of his life that he often reflected positively on.
He encouraged his children to pursue their education, and returned to get his own degree in Criminal Justice from Ivy Tech in December 2021.
Blaine was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Linda, and brother Jon. He is survived by his sons: Silas (Rebecca), Ian (Emily), Andrew (Des), and Robert; grandson: Alexander; sister: Laura; nieces: Allison (Tyler) and Betta (Christina); and grand-nephew: Lincoln.
His burial service will be held at 12:30pm, Monday, July 6th, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Kentucky. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to honor his life and share memories that friends and family experienced with Blaine.
