Brittany Smothers

She was born December 9, 1988, at south west hospital in Louisville, KY to James Thomas Brittain Sr. and Lyndia Geneva Brittain (Small).

Brittany was married to Michael Smothers (Boo) on June 11, 2016, she was the love of Michael and his rock.

Brittany became a mother on June 29, 2008 to a beautiful baby girl, name Brooklyn Kay Smothers. Brooklyn was the light to Brittany’s world. Brittany was not only Brooklyn’s mom she was also her best friend.

Brittany was the life of the party and always had a smile on her face.

She loved going to the beach and lay in the sun. Her animals and family meant the world to her. Brittany had a one rule “that her doors was always open”. Brittany was the glue that held the family together. She was also a lifelong member of the Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Affairs for 19 years.

Brittany is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Brooklyn; parents, James Thomas Brittain Sr., Lyndia Geneva Brittain ( Small); siblings, James Thomas Brittain Jr., Scherry Clontz, Johneva Mickey (Bob), Vikie Cross (Bud), Carl Flester (Shannon), Tabatha Stith, Jeannie Deckard (Bobby); and many loving Nieces, nephews, friends and family, and let’s not forget all her animals.

Brittany is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ronnie and Geneva Strack; grandmother, Marie Moore; uncle JB; Aunt, Dalores Montgomery; great uncle Louis Scherry; cousin, Norma Green; Frank Rapp.

The funeral services for Brittany will be held on Wednesday at 6:00pm at Advantage funeral home.

The visitation will be from 12:00pm until service time at the funeral home.
