He was met at the gates of heaven by his parents, Charles and Mary Wathen; sister, Sue Shade; and grandson, Chad Elzy.
Wayne work for 44 years in Custom Window treatment where he retired. He later enjoyed be a parts driver for Neal Huffman.
Wayne was a Catholic by faith and leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Norma Griner Wathen. He also leaves his children, Christy Bickett (Bobby), Gregory Wathen, and Traci Elzy; grandchildren, Tyler Phelps, Adam Elzy, and Jacob Bickett; great grandchild Brandon Elzy; Brother, Marvin Wathen (Lolly) sisters, Judy Vogt (Jerry), Jean Wathen and many loving nieces and nephews.
Wayne also leaves his two dogs Gracie and Maddie.
The funeral service for Wayne will be Thursday at 11:00pm at Advantage Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
