Carol Sue (Henderson) Wittreich, 83, of Louisville KY died August 15, 2022. Sue, daughter of Lemuel Percy and Josephine Henderson, leaves behind her beloved family: sister-in-law Nancy Henderson, nephew Stuart Henderson and his wife Jacqueline Soltys, as well as nieces Sophia and Grace. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, brother L.P. (Sonny) Henderson and nephew Scott Henderson. She also leaves behind life-long friends Donna Seaford and Johanna Harned, and former husband Joseph Wittreich. Sue spent most of her life in Louisville, retiring from Crosby Middle School in 1994 after a 31-year career in the Jefferson County Public Schools. She was a graduate of Atherton High School and the University of Louisville. Sue was an avid reader, gardener and lover of opera. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A private service will be held. Donations in Sue’s memory may be made to the National Audubon Society.
