She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Ruth (Pohlman) Whitehead on December 16, 1938. Carole grew up in Germantown and graduated from Atherton High School. She retired after 12 plus years from the Jones Lumber Company in California.
Carole was a private lady and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Carl Silliman, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Valerie Woodruff, Kelly Armes (Frank); grandchildren, C. Shawn McLendon, Bobby McClain, Jessica Lliteras; great grandchildren, Hunter McClain, Kendall McClain, Olivia McLendon, Izzy McLendon, Colin McLendon, Riley Box, Ava Box; brother, William "Bill" Whitehead (Jennifer); nephews, Todd Whitehead (Amy), Ted Whitehead (Tabby); and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40222, on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
