She was a retired NAF accountant at Fort Knox, an Army WAC, a member of New Salem Baptist Church and AFGE Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan Steeger; sister SaraJane Keafer; grandchildren, Justin (Sabrina), Dustin and Sheldon Pate.
Carolyn's service will be at noon on Saturday at the Hardy Valley Funeral Home, with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from noon-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
