

Born in Glendale, Kentucky on October 25, 1944, Charles was the son of the lates’ Lawrence and Virginia Froman. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1970, acquiring the rank of Staff Sergeant during his years of service. He earned an associate’s degree in electrical engineering, and worked on the electrical and navigational systems of B-52 bombers during the Vietnam War. After returning to civilian life, Charles worked for Waste Management, Inc. for 40 years. He retired in 2019.
Charles was an active member of Southeast Christian Church. He previously served on the deacon board at Beth Haven Baptist Church for 34 years. Some of Charles’ favorite pastimes were gardening; mowing and detailing his and his daughters’ yards; building and repairing things; and watching his granddaughters play volleyball.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Froman, Sr.; his mother, Virginia Froman; his brothers, Lawrence Froman, Jr. and Ruel Froman; his sister, Twyla Brammell; and his son, Percy Froman.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann Froman; his daughters, Cheryl Basham, Cindy Froman (David Fuchs), and Charla Froman Glover (Dominic); his grandchildren: Eddie Basham (Amy), Anna Basham, Charlee Froman-Glover, Raegan Glover, and Allie Glover; his great-grandchildren, Avery Basham and Barrett Basham; his sister, Marlene Seaton (Henry); and brother – in – law, Gary Brammell.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heady - Hardy Funeral Home. Following services, he will be laid to rest in the Garden of Devotion of Beth Haven Cemetery, with Military Honors. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and then again on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until the Funeral Hour of 1:00 p.m. also at Heady - Hardy Funeral Home.
