

Charles Herman Rhudy Sr., (known to many as "Mike") was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 29, 2024, at the age of 87. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home, with his family by his side.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 11, 1937, to Marie and James Webster Rhudy Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James Webster Rhudy Jr. He is survived Patricia Rhudy, his loving wife of 68 years, three children: Scherri Kayrouz (Steve), Charles Herman Rhudy Jr. (Tina) and Pamela Remines (Brent), as well as 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mike was graduate of Saint Xavier High School, class of 1955 where he was a multi-sport athlete. He retired from Dawson Baker Meat Packing Company and enjoyed bowling, coaching football, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends at his Rough River Lake house.
Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather at the time of his death. Most importantly, he was also a believer in Christ who knew the Lord as his personal Savior and is now walking the streets of gold with our Heavenly Father.
A visitation for Charles will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home Hardy Chapel, located at 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location. Burial will take place at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272.
