

Cloyd Carter was born on April 21, 1961, at Woodford County Hospital in Versailles, KY. He was the third child to the late Joan Washington Carter, and Ben Willie Carter Sr. He departed this life after a protracted illness, on Thursday August 27,2026.
Cloyd attended Midway Elementary (Go Blue Jays), and later attended Woodford County Jr High, and graduated from Woodford High School additional, he attended Kentucky State University.
Cloyd final place of employment was at Montaplast of North American in Frankfort, Ky., until his health would not allow. Cloyd enjoyed playing basketball, golf, tennis, kayaking, bungee jumping, he attended NASCAR Car Racing and loved old school R&B with smooth jazz. Cloyd loved to get his groove on (if u know what I mean).
Cloyd was a man of faith and belief in God, and was a member of Historical Second Christian Church in Midway, KY. We could not get him to sing in the choir, but he did join the church basketball team.
Cloyd leaves to mourn his wife Sandra Carter and beautiful children: Travis Turner, and Ureka Warren, and grandchildren. He was extremely proud of his granddaughter Azaleah who recently graduated from University of Kentucky with a degree in Psychology.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, father, and sister Patricia Cater. He leaves to mourn Pastor Ben W. (Cheryl) Carter, Jr., Doraleen (Abe) Haliburton, Charles (Sharonda) Carter, Calvin Carter, Heather Carter. And, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
To those who were blessed enough to be graced with his presence, they will remember his humor and amazing laughter. The family deeply appreciates your condolences and respectfully requests your continued prayers.
Lastly, the CARTER Family expresses profound appreciation to First Christian Church, History Midway Christian Church, and many who have contributed with gifts and tokens of their Love.
