Daniel L. Rodgers, Jr., 84, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. He was a retired truck driver for the old IM&L, a member of Teamsters Local 89 and he attended St. Paul Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Louise Piercy Rodgers; a daughter, Judy Rodgers; and a son, Ronnie Rodgers. Survivors include a son, Dan Rodgers; a daughter, Jan Richardson; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, followed by entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association .
