Danny Spurrier White, born April 21st, 1948, passed peacefully into eternal rest on August 26th, 2020, at the VA medical center’s hospice unit. The son of Neil S. White and Anna Geraldine “Geri” (Cummings) White, Danny was a lifetime resident of Louisville, Ky. A graduate of Western High School, and a Navy veteran, Danny was an avid UK fan often called “Joe B.” by friends. He worked as a manager for Louisville Metro recycling and in later years he was a staple in the PRP community, in his role as the beloved “Hotdog Man” at Lowe’s on Dixie Highway. Danny is survived by his wife Sherri (Williams) White, daughter Sarah Stallings (Anthony), grandchildren Elliot Stallings & Katherine Sullivan, sister Mitzi Higgs, brother Gary White, and numerous nieces and nephews. Following his wishes, Danny will be cremated and his ashes interred, with full military honors, at the Military Veterans Cemetery in Radcliffe, Ky.
