David Ray Jackson, 74, passed away on October 9, 2025. David was a proud Army veteran, a dedicated father, Papaw, and great-Papaw, a passionate sports fan who loved horse racing. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.
David was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Joann Jackson, his brother Charles Michael Jackson, sisters Barbara Bechtel, Judy Riggs, and Peggy Carol, and his daughter Jessica Rae Jackson.
He is survived by his daughters, Tabatha Lynn Wadsworth and Melissa Dawn (Mike) Watkins; grandchildren, Tyler David Wadsworth, Kaytlynn Jo Wadsworth, Thomas Reed II, Brendon Michael Watkins, and Alexus Danielle Watkins; great-grandchildren Tanner Ray Woods, Alaya Rose Reed, Antonio Rogers III, and Oakley May Watkins.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home, 10907 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM before the service, at the same location.
