She was the operations manager for Rexell-Southland Electric Co. and a member of the Okolona Christian Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Slaughter.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Slaughter; a son, Derrick Slaughter (Crystal); a daughter, Danielle Slaughter; her parents, Rola and Ida Martin; brothers, Glenn (Nancy) and Sammie (Linda) Martin; a brother-in-law, Michael Slaughter (Alice); sisters, Jeannie Spencer (Leon) and Karen Ray (Danny); sisters-in-law, Monica Garner and Tammy (David) Shrode; and grandchildren, Briana and Dylan.
Her funeral service will be held noon Tuesday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow at the Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
