Maryville, TN – entered into rest on Saturday, September 8th.
He was retired from Naval Ordnance Station Louisville after 34 years and a Navy veteran, he served on the USS Tidewater AD-31.
Mr. Flick was preceded in rest by his father, Desco; mothers, Olive (Ingle) and Ruth (Runion); brothers, Larry and Mike Flick; grandson, Carl Rogers; and beloved son-in-law, Henry “Buddy” Stroupe.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Martha Flick; six sons, Kevin Flick (Susan), Jeff Flick (Maria), Thomas Flick (Marsha), Douglas Rogers (Jammie), Michael Rogers, James Rogers (Susan); two daughters, Kathy Weathers (James) and LaDonna Rogers Stroupe; 18 grandchildren, Amber Archibald, Margaret Thacker (Jarrod), Alex Flick (Brandee), Emily Lamm (Steven) Thomas (T.J.) Flick Jr., Samuel Flick, Vittoria Flick, Olive Flick, Alissa Flick, Douglas Rogers, Jr., William Cantebury, David Cantebury, Michael Rogers Jr. (Alicia), Timothy Rogers, Matthew Rogers, Luke Rogers, Danae Rogers (Garrod), Cynthia Rogers ; and 9 great-grandchildren, Kali, Will, Ivan, Eleanor, Baby Lamm, Ariella, Sadie, Ciera and Sevanna; and siblings, Ronald Flick (Mary Jane) and Paulette Hutchinson (Joe).
His funeral will be on Monday, September 17th, at 10am at the Advantage Funeral Home- Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3pm until 8pm.
