

Doug was a hard-working, selfless man who loved being called Dad and Pawpaw. He was the last graduating class of ’84 at Bishop David. He was a master plumber that worked for local 502, he also was a coach for the local 107 team. He worked full time for the Union and was the CEO of Dages Plumbing so he could provide for his family and also have extra for vacations and to be the greatest host of celebrations. On his days off you could find him at the lake, on the river, grilling out, or at that campfire singing neon moon on the karaoke machine. He was an advocate for sports as well, specifically for Kentucky basketball, Atlanta braves, Atlanta falcons.
Doug was proceeded in death by his father Andrew “Buddy” Dages, and his nephew Cody Dages.
Doug is survived by his mother Lois Dages, his loving wife Shannon Dages of 28 years, his brothers Andy (Diana) Dages, Mark Dages, Timothy “Timbo” Dages, with several nieces and nephews. His kids Keith Payne (Missi), Doug Dages Jr. (Morgan), Amber Meagher (Keith), Alyssa Carter (Brian), Shania Bruce (Corey), and Calli Dages. Including his 22 grandkids.
Doug's visitation will be Saturday, May 18 at Advantage funeral home Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy. from 11-6 pm, Doug's celebration of life service will follow at 6 PM at the funeral home. Doug chose cremation.
