Duwana was a free spirit who found happiness in the beauty of the outdoors. She loved spending time at Bernheim Forest, where she held a membership, and she found peace connecting with nature, especially while working in her garden. She was happiest with fresh air, flowers, and the simple beauty of the world around her.
She was also a proud over-the-road truck driver who embraced the open road with confidence, strength, and independence. Duwana lived life on her own terms. Those who knew her best know she was secretly a badass and had a thug spirit
She leaves behind her loving children, Kaydee Howard and Johnnie McCollum; her cherished grandchildren, Julieanna, Emmaline, and Dominick; her brother, James Oldham; her friend who she considered more of a sister, Susan Shelton; and her bonus children, James Sumner and Heather McCollum, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Duwana was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Sheila Oldham.
Duwana will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel, “Where Personal And Sincere Service Is Tradition.”
