Edna N Cotton

Edna Nay Cotton, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was a strong and loving woman; Edna devoted her life to raising eight children and caring for her family. She loved cookouts, spending time with friends, and especially cherished her cats.

Edna had a passion for music and enjoyed singing karaoke with her sister Pat. She was a proud fan of Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball and enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

She is survived by her children Eugene (Jenny), Gary (Brenda), Steve, and Carolyn (Keith); her sister Doris Corum (Walter); 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one god-granddaughter, Bella Brown.

She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Cotton; her children Ricky, Norman, Wendall, and Donna; her parents Johnny and Beaulah Dockery; her sisters Mildred Blevins and Patricia Dickson; and her brothers Ivan, Hersel, and Kendall Dockery.

Edna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10907 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location, with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
