Ernest “Ernie” Lee Dodds, 63, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 after an extended illness. He graduated from Valley High School and retired from Reynolds Aluminum and Eckart Aluminum. His favorite thing to do in his retirement was “goin fishin’ ”. Ernie was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Taylor Dodds and his brother –in-law, Marvin Keith. He is survived by his father, Jene Dodds (Judy); Sister, Norma Jean Keith; Brother, Howard Dodds (Rachelle); Daughters, Sherry Lynn Bates, Dana Michelle Lee; Son, Brent Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews. We wish to thank his best friend, Tony Knott, who cared for him. A private service will be held at W.G. Hardy Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen per his desire.
