I truly loved Fern. I remember so well when you taught me in a bible class which may have been GAs at Wallins Baptist Church. You were such a good teacher and you became my friend even though there was a ten year age difference. We had such fun times. I can still remember us taking Kevin Creech snipe hunting. We sure got s good laugh. So glad I got to visit with you a few times when you and Jimmy came in to see Big Jim and Mary. I sure will miss you but look forward to the day when I can see you in heaven. I love you Fern.

What a lovely sweet little girl. I remember visiting Fern and her family, in Wallins. I was with my aunt and Uncle, Helen and Floyd Simpson. Floyd was the brother of Fern’s mom. I was a few years older than Fern and I found her friendly and endearing. Our paths never crossed again, when she moved to Louisville. I am sorry we did not meet again. Maybe one time at Aunt Helen’s. I remember how Helen and Floyd loved Fern and Shannon. They talked about them often. Shannon and family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Fern where would I even begin to share all the memories I have of you for over forty years. You were a great friend and then married my cousin. Immediately you became family and fit in perfectly. You were a great prayer warrior and had so much compassion for others. Even in sickness you were concerned about others. I miss you already but I know you are not in pain. I know I will see you again and “What A Day That Will Be”. I close this with a broken heart but I know you are rejoicing. Rest In Peace my beautiful friend.💔
