Gary loved helping people. There was not much he could not do. He worked for Louisville Metro Parks as a Master Electrician, also worked on cars and mechanics, carpentry and painting. A master of all trades. He enjoyed watching and supporting Kentucky basketball. Loved his dogs Charlie, and Lucky (RIP). Gary loved and enjoyed the house he built, and loved spending time with his family, and with those he was close to.
He is survived by his wife Karen, married 46 years, his son Joshua, his grandchildren Jasmine and Jayden, His niece Daniella, and his very good friend Lyle Cyrus.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edna Mae (Fields) and Herschel Nix, his brother Danny, and great friend Mark Griley (Uncle Markie).
