He was a retired member of the Sheet Metal Union Local #110, a member of Highview Baptist Church, Valley Campus and an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
George was preceded in death by his wife Betty.
Survivors include his children, Theresa Corbitt (Gerald), Greg Culver (Judy), Pam Brewer (Doug) and Keith Culver (Karen); 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

His service will be noon Friday at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home, with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
