George dedicated 22 years of service as a corrections officer with Jefferson County. He also made a lasting impact as the Director of Security and Ushers and served on the Pastor's Council at Grace Praise and Worship Center. Most recently, George completed his journey as an Elder at The Rock Family Worship Center, where his faith and dedication were deeply valued.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna Ross, his sister Dorothy Willett, and his brother Larry Ross.
George is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn Sue Ross; their sons, Michael David Ross (his wife, Ava Ross) and Christopher Scott Ross (his wife, LeAnne Ross); his grandchildren, Savannah, Bryan, Cameron, and Tyler Ross; his niece, Maria Willett; and nephews, Nick and Brandon Ross.
A visitation for George will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral will occur on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
