George A. Wagner, lovingly known as "Uncle Buddy", was born on December 10, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to Flora F. Wagner and Frederick Wagner. He passed away on May 23, 2019 at age 76. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Ilari and Susie Wagner; and his brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Linda Wagner.
Uncle Buddy was kind, easy going, and was a gentle soul who was generous to a fault. He proudly served his country as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He dedicated his life to helping anyone in need. His remaining family and friends have many fond memories, and many stories to remember him by. Uncle Buddy had a passion for fixing things, and was a mechanic by trade. He also loved the time he spent at Nolin Lake where he would plant a garden, and just enjoy being in nature. Uncle Buddy will be missed, but not forgotten.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Virginia Wagner; brother-in-law Jarrell Ilari; several nephews, one niece, and a caring neighbor, Darlene.
A grave side service is being held Saturday at Calvary at 10 a.m
