Glenn Alan Mitchell

Glenn “Yogi” Alan Mitchell, 60, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was born to the late John and Jacqueline (Purvis) Mitchell on February 17, 1964, in Louisville, Kentucky. Yogi was a long-time mover for Boyd Moving and Storage who really “knew how to pack a truck”. He loved his Miami Dolphins and was an avid fisherman. Yogi had an amazing number of good friends and was a self-proclaimed “rotten a$$hole”. He will be missed by so many!

Yogi was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Traci Mitchell; nephew, Marvin Lee Mitchell Sr; brother, Guy Calvin Mitchell; and sister, Florence “Poochie” Helen Sanders.

Left to cherish Yogi’s memory are his children, Amanda Mitchell (Shawn Montgomery), Kerri Mitchell, Everett Thomas Wadsworth; sister, Melissa Hadley (Outh Phichich); half-sister, Mary Rose Kundert; wife, Simone Daugherty; children, Michael Chasteen (Barbara) and Joey Daugherty (Jaqueline); grandchildren, Amanda Montgomery, Kaylynn Montgomery, Brooklyn Wadsworth; niece and nephews, John Mitchell, Shane Spencer, Marvin Lee Mitchell Jr, Envy Lee Mitchell; several extended family members and great friends.

Visitation for Yogi will be Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 3:00PM-8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday October 23, 2024, at 11:00AM at Advantage Funeral Home 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. 40272 with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery 10915 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY. 40272.
