Gloria Jean Burnett

Gloria loved spending time with her family and enjoyed every moment with her grandsons and great-grandchildren. She loved sitting on the porch with her husband, Jim, the love of her life for 50 years.

She worked as a retail associate at Bacon's Department Store. Above all, Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the heart of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Jim” Burnett; her parents, Charles and Jane Bland; her son, Charlie Burnett; and her siblings, Willie Williams, Lloyd Williams, Maggie Williams, Jackie (Phyllis) Williams, Thomas Williams, Jenny (Tom) Watson, and Eddie (Connie) Bland.

Gloria leaves behind her daughter, Tamara “Tami” Morton (Jeff); her grandchildren, James “Jimmy” Patterson (Erica), Michael Patterson, Kaelyn Burnett, and Hailey Burnett; and her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Ryan, Rhett, Maddie Patterson, Charley Burnett, Analee, and Reid and her bonus son, Larry Caulk.

Burial will be held at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272, US, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 2:00PM.
