He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Linda Corum. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Fortitude #47, and had a strong love for the Lord.
Skip is survived by his son Jerome Travis Owen (Mary) and daughter, Melanie Reynolds; Two granddaughters, Raelynn Marie Reynolds, and Kassandra Marie Parker (Jordan); brother, William Corum (Sandy); nephews, Jason Corum (Carolyn) and Aaron Corum (Nikki).
Skip had an extended family in his lodge brothers, people who cared for him over the years and friends that were like family. He never met a stranger, loved a good cup of coffee with a cigarette, and was a joker to the end. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial visitation for Skip will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home, located at 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Inurnment will take place directly after the service at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
